The PLJ series MAF-sensors differ from the factory-installed air flow meters in that they do not have a throttle valve but instead measure the airflow using the hot film principle. This provides a significantly larger cross-section for the intake air. Combined with the fast and modern evaluation electronics, this leads to increased performance.

The engine control unit (ECU) is always provided with accurate values, which prevents any increased strain on the engine components.
